This is specialty new year dish called お節 or osechi, and a combination of sweet, sour, salty, mostly sweet because new year is meant to be a start of another sweet and prosperous chapter. Nowadays, it's more common to get sushi, sashimi, and many people are going for international cuisine as well. Anyways, traditional osechiis something I am so much looking forward to...Oishiiiii~
